This series of works provides an “identity” metaphor. From “I am a little nervous towards a world that is hidden,” the artist describes a shy world that asks the viewer to enter and exit quietly. The mirror works return photography to its original mechanism and lead the audience toward a virtual world of reflections. The series also considers hidden metaphors around homosexuality, memory, indirect looking, and the uncertain relation between real and unreal shadows.

这一组作品围绕“身份”的隐喻展开。作品通过镜面、遮挡、反射、物件与纸上绘画，处理被隐藏的世界、观看的角度、同性经验的隐喻，以及真实与非真实之间的关系。

Soon after his marriage, Gu Hai, the only son in his family and long based overseas, returns to his hometown alone and unexpectedly dies. His pregnant wife, Du Cheng, comes back to China to find out what happened, and her fate becomes connected with Gu Hai’s parents, from whom he had been estranged for more than ten years.

The journey home draws out the long-buried causes of family estrangement. As Du Cheng confronts the helplessness of circumstance, she also gradually encounters human warmth and begins to rebuild hope for a new life.

长居国外的谷海与妻子婚后不久，忽然独自回乡，却意外身故。已有身孕的妻子杜诚回国探知究竟，从此便与谷海疏离已十余年的父母的命运连接起来。

一次归乡之旅，牵引出多年前亲情隔阂的因果纠葛，而杜诚却也逐渐感到了世事无奈背后的人间温情。几经辗转，杜诚试着重建新生活的希望，并决定生下谷海的孩子。
